First things first, you're going to want to buy an XO Straight wig, in order to get silky hair you need to invest in good quality hair first!1) This is a product we adore, it's not too greasy and a little goes a long way. This helps to add shine to your wig.2) Get a gooood straightener, this is just as important as new hair. Using high quality products + high quality hair = chef's kiss. Follow with purple shampoo and conditioner to avoid brassy looking knots. Then wash hair with conditioner. Step 2: Tweeze the hairlineThis helps in addition to bleaching knots to give a really natural look to hair. As you tweeze, try to imitate the outline of your natural hairline so that your wig is best suited to you. Step 3: Tint lace colour to match skin toneUse your favourite lace tint to imitate the colour of your skin, you can use your favouriten face powder/bronzer for this also. Step 4: Wear wig and cut out earsWear your brand new XO wig and adjust elastic bands if need be. Make sure there's an equal amount of lace on both sides so that hair isn't uneven. Cut the lace around your ears. Step 5: Make sure you're happy and apply lace glueAt this point, your wig should be ready to glue down. Add dots of glue and spread across forehead. Wait until almost dry and lay lace down with a comb, not your hands. Step 6: Melt lace with elastic edge band and begin to hot combWhilst your glue is drying under your edge band, grab some hair wax to help part your wig with a hot comb. Grab some foam and brush foam in. Take a durag to flatten for 10 mins and blow dry. Once flattened, grab a hot comb again to continue styling Step 7: Cut the lace offOnce the glue has gone clear, begin to cut off excess lace that isn't glued down. Once cut off, spray with spritz or 'Olive Oil Fix It Superhold' spray. Melt lace with elastic band again and hairdryer. Step 8: Tweeze hair and decide where you want your baby hairs! Once you decided where you want baby hairs, tweeze around hairline again and baby hairs. Step 9: Curl baby hairs with mini straightener Curling hairs help them to swoop and get into shape with minimal product added. Step 10: Lay, lay and lay again (haha!)Grab your edge band and cover lace. Leave for 10 mins Once you come back and remove the elastic band, your hair should be laid AF. NOW - it's time to style! Maintain your mane! Wondering how to keep your hair lush for longer?Here are all the hair care tips you need to keep your XO hair extensions and wig going the extra mile: 1. Wash Regularly Create a wash day routine that suits you, just as you would with your own hair! If you're wearing your unit everyday, we'd suggest washing your unit after every use and if you're not doing much with it - every other week. Bonus: Dry your hair with a t-shirt not a towel, t-shirts have a smooth surface so drying hair that way prevents hair frizzing. 2. Detangle Dentangle your hair with a wide tooth comb before and after washing. This helps to prevent the hair from getting tangled, helps to lift dirt and reduces shedding. 3. Use a Heat Protector If there's one thing to follow, please let this be it. You NEED to protect your hair from heat prior to styling, especially if you're planning on using heat daily. This creates a barrier between the hair and the heat from the appliance you're using, without this you're exposing and damaging the hair. 4. Moisturise As hair isn't attached to the scalp it'll need an extra shine boost. After wash day, moisturise your unit with a light oil serum whilst wet and use a light oil serum again after applying heat.
